Vortex Sounds
A record label founded by Cynthie Vandeboom and friends. A lot of influential artists joined them simply because the company's rules require all board members to have either released an album, a hit single, or have been a member of a touring band. Their ethos was that they are run by musicians for musicians, and that earned them a lot of respect. At the time of Under One Roof, they had grown to be the fourth largest record label in the country by some measure.
