Younger Than You Think/Dr Lyle Pennington
A character in Younger Than You Think, who works in the medical branch of Forever Baby. They don't have strong opinions on regression, or the rights of people who might be forced to act like children.
Note: Lyle's gender should never be stated in the text; it's deliberately ambiguous, and they are described or introduced simply as "a teenager". Looks to be in their late teens, but is actually a baby-faced 24.
Lyle is a prodigy, with a special interest in hypnosis, but also qualified in biology and some disciplines of medicine. They are a bit of a mad scientist, obsessed with learning more regardless of the morality of the research. This is why they joined Forever Baby, having (somehow) found out about the intensive hypnosis and brainwashing processes which can regress an unwilling person to a mental baby or toddler in 2-3 years. It is also why Lyle was so interested in Iriña Blake, a particularly interesting case study. It also seems to be the case that Lyle likes working with Iriña more than the others because she doesn't fight or protest. But in general, their main concern is whether a technique works, which they see as more important than any moral, ethical, legal, or conventional considerations.
