Theodore Abbott is a doctor of psychology, specialising in hypnosis. She is the first hypnotist Potty Genius/Adrica/ consults in Potty Genius.
She earlier appears in Under One Roof, when she is a final year student at Moistville, and has just moved in with good friend Britney Wakefield.
Name
Her parents intended to name her 'Theodora', but spelled it incorrectly. They insist that the final 'e' is pronounced as a final syllable. Theo herself doesn't really care about the pronunciation, and through her life so far every nickname she's used has been shorter than the last.
Education
She's very good at psychology as an academic study, but less so in a practical sense. She went to university in Moistville, hoping to become a real therapist. However, her lack of social skills and complete lack of common sense made this unlikely. After getting her doctorate, she decided to go into private practice offering both beneficial and recreational hypnosis. She moved away from Moistville with her best friend (now roommate) Britney Wakefield, who she met when they both auditioned when a local emo punk band was advertising for a new vocalist and bass player.
Office
Dr Abbott has a small office under a shopping street in Ellisberg, in what used to be a cistern for the municipal water system. A doorway between two storefronts leads to a narrow staircase leading down, which then doubles back to connect to an office beneath the street itself. The rent here was amazingly cheap, and Britney has been almost entirely responsible for fitting out and decorating the place.
Everything here is as cheap as possible; they are poor. However, the office does include a therapy room (with couch and office chair), a break room (with card table, coffee machine, mini fridge, two folding chairs, and a futon bed), a mini kitchen, tiny washroom, back office (desk and 2 chairs, and another mini fridge), and reception area (with one reclining office chair for the receptionist, and four plastic chairs for clients).
Until they become more financially stable, the two are also living here. Theo sleeps on the couch.
